I ALWAYS like to take a different perspective to things. With the press conference looming, I thought, why not put some of the spotlight on the journalists who will interview me? After all, we hardly ever give them a second thought, and we always take our news for granted, always forgetting the medium in which our news are disseminated to us.
Recently I was interviewed by New Strait Times journalist, Gerald Chuah. As it turns out, Gerald is quite an individual himself. He wrote a book called ‘ In The Eye of The Tiger : Survival Principles from Sylvester Stallone’s Life and Films’.
Catchy title eh?
According to Gerald, this has been an experiment of sorts, which culminated in him launching the book with the help of Sylvester’s mom herself! He says that after daring to try writing this book, he has achieved what he previously never dreamt of. He met people he otherwise wouldn’t have, and even snagged a job as an NST journalist!
Describing Rocky as the man of a thousand skills, he says Sylvester’s films truly inspires him. For future plans, Gerald hopes to land a deal with a major US publisher.
Hats off to Gerald!
