FOR NEWS: ROCKY BOOK LAUNCH

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 22, 2007 - Jacqueline Stallone, (Celebrity Astrologer and Sylvester Stallone's mother) launched a book entitled In The Eye of the Tiger: Survival Principles from Sylvester Stallone's Life & Films, written by local journalist Gerald Chuah at Borders Times Square. The launch took place after a special screening of Rocky Balboa (Rocky 6) at GSC Times Square. The movie is due for release in local cinemas on February 22.

Jacqueline who was on a Far East tour with her husband Dr. Stephen M. Levine made a special trip to KL to meet Chuah for the event. It was their first trip to Malaysia. Jacqueline who first saw the book two years ago was impressed by the accuracy of the facts, and its relevance of the inspirational quotes to Stallone’s real life struggles.

In her quote she said: "I am very proud of your book. I read the book and every word is true. The whole family live by these rules and these are quotes that Sylvester was raised on.”
She added these are original Sylvester Stallone quotes. “It is a miracle how Chuah was able to gather all these quotes and put them together in a book. And I think everyone who wants to be successful, rich and famous should read these quotes and practice them.”

Chuah who began this journey nearly two decades ago, said this is a case of fantasy meet reality. "Never in my wildest dream did I imagine that my book will one day be endorsed and launched by Jackie Stallone to coincide with the last episode of the Rocky series.
"This is indeed a great honor to me and a high point in my life. It proves that nothing is impossible and if I can do it, you can do it too,” he added.

A Stallone fan since young Chuah felt a “special connection” with the Rocky character and could see many underlying lessons and survival principles expounded in the movies which urge audiences to rise to their feet and go the distance with their dreams.

Chuah said the book’s values are universal, and its topics comprehensive, covering every aspect of living with powerful ideas not revealed before. The book also has 34 original hand drawn illustrations featuring Stallone action poses from his blockbuster films of the 80s.

The book is available at major bookstores nationwide to coincide with the screening of Rocky Balboa (Rocky 6)
